The lion and the mouse. (listening task)

This activity is about listening, it could be very interesting to work on the pronunciation and the intonation. After choosing an interesting and motivating topic for the students, the teacher can write on the blackboard some specific words about the topic and encourage the students to repeat it with the same intonation.

On the second part, the students helped by the teacher could create a song related with the topic. And then, they can sing together the song. Also, they can record themselves and listened.

Example: after listening a story about a lion and a mouse, the teacher could write some word to use in the song and for working the intonation as: (friends, lion, mouse, etc). Then, depending on the age of the students, if they are too kids the teacher can directly give to them the song previously created, but if they are in the last course, they together can create the song.

The example of the song about the story of the lion and the mouse could be:

The mouse and the lion now are friends, now are friends, now are friends.

The mouse and the lion now are friends, although the lion is bigger.

The mouse and the lion now are friends, now are friends, now are friends.

The mouse and the lion now are friends, although the mouse is smaller.

The mouse and the lion now are friends, now are friends, now are friends.

The mouse and lion now are friends although they are so different.

The mouse and the lion now are friends, now are friends, now are friends.

The mouse and the lion now are friends because they help each other.

There is a link of the song created by the teacher: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZAJW7Yj9sc0

The idea is repeated first slowly and then quickly.

They are working on the listening, because they are paying attention on the pronunciation and intonation of the words.
